Hi! We're Sandis and Brent from Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you for considering us as parents. We deeply respect your strength and courage as you consider an open adoption. We met through mutual friends, shortly after graduating college in southern Maine, where we're originally from. Over the course of our 16 years together, we have always hoped to add children to our family and are so excited to begin this journey to become dads! We have built a strong relationship on mutual respect, shared values and common interests. We celebrate each other’s strengths and value the time we spend together each and every day. Sandis also has a great sense of humor. We spend much of our time
together just making each other laugh. He has a great ability to see the
lighter side of situations, seeing "the glass as half full", which really helps
us deal with any curves life may throw. All in all, I can't wait to parent with
Sandis, knowing together we'll provide a home for a child that is rich with
love, laughter and lots of FUN!

Brent loves to read and has already started a collection of his favorite
children’s books, including The Giving Tree, Make Way for Ducklings and
the entire Dr. Seuss collection. He's always talking about how fun it will
be as a family to read to a child, especially their favorite bedtime stories.
Brent's career is in early child care and education. Throughout his 20
year career, he has worked as a pre-school teacher and taught special
needs students. He is currently Director of Operations at the Sheltering
Arms Georgia Training Institute, Georgia's oldest and most respected
childhood education program and child care centers. Brent plans to take
the first few years off to be a stay-at-home dad so our child will get lots of
love, nurturing and attention!

Sandis is great with children. He is so interested in how they learn and is
excited to explore new worlds right along side of them. Sandis will always
jump in and explain how something works, take it apart or put it back
together.

someone how to make his favorite cookies to putting together a new
bookcase, he is thoughtful and considerate in sharing his passions and
