Hi! We're Sandis and Brent from Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you for considering us as parents. We deeply respect your strength and courage as you consider an open adoption. We met through mutual friends, shortly after graduating college in southern Maine, where we're originally from. Over the course of our 16 years together, we have always hoped to add children to our family and are so excited to begin this journey to become dads! We have built a strong relationship on mutual respect, shared values and common interests. We celebrate each other’s strengths and value the time we spend together each and every day. We feel extremely fortunate to have found each other and are so excited to share our blessings with a child. When I think of raising a child with Brent, I feel like the luckiest person in the world. He is one of the most patient and
caring persons I know. People are naturally drawn to Brent because of his great sense of humor and fun personality.
Brent loves to read and has already started a collection of his favorite children’s books, including The Giving Tree,
Make Way for Ducklings and the entire Dr. Seuss collection. When we're shopping he can usually be found in the toy
section, checking out a new game or puzzle that he's heard about and can't wait to share with our child.
Brent has made a career of leading programs that improve the quality of life for families in our community and
because of that passion for their well being, I can't think of anyone better to be a parent himself. After we adopt, Brent
plans to take the first few years off to be a stay-at-home dad.
While he is passionate about his career, Brent always knows how to have fun and can use his sense of humor to deal
with just about any situation - a great quality when raising children. Brent also loves animals – and animals love him!
A typical night at home after dinner involves taking our dog Kennedy for a walk or just playing with our cats Fluffy and
Lucy.

| Sandis is going to be such a great dad! Whether throwing a frisbee in the back yeard, riding bikes to the park, or playing a board game on a rainy afternoon, he is always up for anything. I love that Sandis enjoys spending so much time with those he loves, no matter what his day at work was like! Sandis is great with children. He is so interested in how they learn and is excited to expore new worlds right along side of them. Sandis will always jump in and explain how something works, take it apart, put it together or test it out. Another one of the best things about Sandis is his patience. From showing someone how to make his favorite cookies to putting together a new bookcase, he is thoughtful and considerate in sharing his passions and skills. |

| Sandis also has a great sense of humor. We spend much of our time together just making each other laugh. He has a great ability to see the lighter side of situations, seeing "the glass as half full", which really helps us deal with any curves life may throw. All in all, I can't wait to parent with Sandis, knowing together we'll provide a home for a child that is rich with love, laughter and lots of FUN! |
